Project Title: Line and Shape Exploration


Description:
  • Students practiced creating and identifying a variety of lines and shapes.  Lines and shapes are everywhere.  Lines have names that describe their place in space.  Shapes can be freeform or geometric.  Students formed Z lines and Z shapes from clay resulting in a relief piece.  Water color paints and varnish were added plus glitter for fun!
Vocabulary: 
  • vertical, horizontal, diagonal, zig zag, curved, wavy, squiggle, loop, spiral lines
  • freeform, geometric, organic shapes
