November 2017 - Fall Motif

Kindergarten and 1 st  Grade Project Title:   Fall Motif Description: Falling leaves in our courtyard inspired this printing project.  Four cookie cutter shapes were used to stamp a well developed composition.  Two colors of tempera were added within each shape.  Artists noticed that the crayon texture was strong enough to push the paint away; crayon resist! October 2017 - Printing Shapes

Kindergarten and 1 st  Grade Project Title:   Printing and Shapes Description: K-1 students identified the difference between geometric and freeform sponge shapes.  They practiced stamping these shapes into primary and secondary colored paint while developing a composition of their choice.  Next, colored pencils were used to add details and form, and geometric shapes were added for fun.
